Completely New End Mills By Iscar Will Expand Productivity While Shrinking Costs
Producers and die & mold shops can eliminate chatter problems in various milling operations with Iscar's brand new Chatterfree carbide end mills. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern eliminates harmonic vibration, the primary source of chatter. This permits faster cutting and excellent finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling. In addition, users also report prolonged edge life due to lessened chatter. The chatter-free feature is realizable in both solid carbide endmills and tips in Iscar's Multi-Master replaceable-tip line. Diameter range is 6 to 20mm for the solid carbide endmills, and 8 to 20mm for Multi-Master tips. These brand new endmills are ideal for reduced power machines with ISO40 or BT40 adaptations. The solid carbide variant can achieve full slot machining up to 2xD. Depth ability on the replaceable-tip version is more constrained since the active length is shorter. In full slotting applications on alloy steel, the solid carbide foundation readily handles 0.03-0.05 feed rates at 180-220mm/min surface speed and 2xD depth of cut.
Finishred - Innovative Solid Carbide Endmills
Iscar is introducing the EFR.. B44 and the MM EFS.. Finishred a revolutionary solid carbide end mills family. The Finishred carbide endmill is a blending of both roughing and finishing endmills in a single tool. Roughing endmills remove material from work pieces more promptly and accurately than conventional endmills. However, roughing endmills leave grooves on the machined surface. In repercussion, after using a roughing endmill, a finishing endmill must to be used in order to accomplish a smooth surface finish. This means time-consuming tool change, setup time and inevitably of maintaining two endmill types in the inventory.
Features of the Finishred Endmills:
The EFR.. B44 and the MM EFS.. endmills present 4 flutes with 45 degree helix, two serrated flutes and two continuous flutes.
The cutting edges of the finishing flutes are radially more distant from the tool axis than the cutting edges of the serrated flutes. The finishing flutes phase out the grooves generated by the roughing flutes, leaving a constant surface finish.
The tool is fully competent and facilitates running at rough machining parameters, ending in finish surface quality.
The distinctive tool design lessens vibration at high load applications.
The tool creates short and long chips concurrently. This chip mixture is evacuated more easily than each individual chip type, an extraordinary solution in slotting and cavity milling operations.
The Finishred is also featured with the Multi-Master indexable milling head option which incorporates the Finishred includes with the advantage of little setup time, no regrinding costs and the wide range of shank and extension choices are available for the Multi-Master milling heads.
A single tool incorporates the roughing and finishing endmills; therefore lowering stock.
Tool change and setup time can be waived.
An added tool position is achieved on the machine
New Chip Splitting Solid Carbide Endmills for Raised Metal Removal Rates
ISCAR is releasing the ECP-3/4L family of chip splitting endmills. The revolutionary endmills are obtainable with 3 and four 38 degree flutes in grade IC900. They feature 2xD and long shanks with lessened neck diameter, which aid machining along high shoulders, at high feeds. These endmills, due to their chip splitting feature and force distribution can be used very efficiently on reduced power machines (CAT40/BT40/ISO40). The serrated cutting edge includes flat peaks which leave a superior surface finish, in comparison to the current rougher carbide endmills. The ECP endmills are favored for machining austenitic and martensitic stainless steel, at up to 2xD depth of cut. They can be used on alloyed steel as well. All of the preliminary tests conducted at many customers' locations showed exceptional results.
Many Improvements Have Multiplied Iscar's Line Of Indexable Endmills For Heightened Productivity
Helido-Upfeed 04 Two years ago Iscar introduced the extremely efficient H600 indexable endmill line, based on conceptually new Helido-Upfeed double sided inserts with 6 cutting edges. The first insert launched was the H600 WXCU 0806..., which was designed for milling cutters in the diameter range of 50 to 125 mm.

The Most Recent In Carbide Endmill Configuration In A Long And Outstanding Line From Iscar
Manufacturers and die & mold shops can eliminate chatter problems in many milling operations with Iscar's new Chatterfree endmills. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern eliminates harmonic vibration, the main source of chatter. This enables faster cutting and finer finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling.
