Some Of Advancements In Carbide Inserts From Iscar
Iscar is announcing a new unique milling system that includes tangential, clamped, butterfly-shaped LNKX carbide inserts. The butterfly-shaped insert has noteworthy advantages in comparison to the current flat, square shapes. The new geometry has additional cutting edges, positive rake face, decreased cutting forces resulting in greater performance. The carbide inserts are screw-clamped on the outside of varied milling cutter types, providing optimal conditions also for heavy-duty applications with superior surface quality, saving several other finishing operations. End mills are available for 90 degree shoulder milling and for facing with 45 degree lead angles.
Each carbide insert includes eight cutting edges, 4 for right-hand and 4 for left-hand cutting, enhancing the economy of use. The two, toward-center-slanted cutting edges provide on one side strong and exact clamping of insert in the tool body, and on the other side, the positive axial rake angle. The usefulness of this positive axial rake composition decreases the cutting forces owed to softer cut and easier penetration into the material, as well as changing force direction which is needed for use on modernized machining centers with pallet systems less stable than on the traditional transfer lines.
In typical applications like in the auto industry, the depth-of-cut is less than thirty thousandths of an inch facilitating the use of all eight cutting edges of the Tangmill carbide inserts. Furthermore, in the automotive industry it is normal to use a pair of cutters, one for right- and one for left-handed operations, which means that all 8 cutting edges of the Tangmill inserts can be put into use.
New ISCAR UPGRADES for Fast Metal Removal
Newly born developments coming from the headquarters of Iscar, delivering the new Upgrade movement, which guarantees that they are looking to the future. The new Upgrade movement, scheduled to be made public at the end of year 2008, will offer completely new tools for milling, turning, hole making and multifunction operations, complementing the FMR (Fast Metal Removal) tool families with one aim in mind - to improve productivity on the shop floor and to expand profits.
Iscar's highlights for this year, with no doubt, are the new coatings, new substrate combinations, new cutting edge geometries, new sizes, new tangential clamping mechanisms and new coolant nozzle functionality. Iscar's future trends combine new carbide insert grades for efficient and money-saving machining, more cutting edges to each insert and forward-looking tangential clamping systems which can significantly reduce the cutting pressure. The launching of the AL-TEC, PVD coating principally for nodular cast iron, a-TECH, CVD coating mainly for grey cast iron and the DO-TECH, dual CVD PVD coating for better strength will refashion the way manufacturers machines cast iron. In addition, Iscar offering mini inserts is another direction within the Upgrade movement, referring to reducing the sizes of the Tangmill carbide inserts into Minitang, in order to facilitate fine pitch configuration which will expedite feed rates. In addition, the compact size of the carbide inserts and their tangential arrangement in the pockets permit a much bigger core diameter, in terms of tool design, when compared to normal radially positioned inserts.
Push Pull Testing For Highway Industry With Calibrated Measuring Instruments. Mechanical Load Testing Methods For On Site Documentation To Testing Requirements.
Push Pull Testing for the Railway industry for proof of reliable anchor fixings. Calibrated push pull force gauges are used for stress load testing along with tensile strength pull testing procedures. Proof of load testing undertaken, measured, recorded in a reliable and standard way to BS5080 Part 1 standards.
Many Improvements Have Multiplied Iscar's Line Of Indexable Endmills For Heightened Productivity
Helido-Upfeed 04 Two years ago Iscar introduced the extremely efficient H600 indexable endmill line, based on conceptually new Helido-Upfeed double sided inserts with 6 cutting edges. The first insert launched was the H600 WXCU 0806..., which was designed for milling cutters in the diameter range of 50 to 125 mm.
Iscar Announces A Completely New Line Of Slitting Cutters Utilizing Tang-Grip Technology And The Sturdiness Of Sumo Tec Grades
Iscar now offers a family of high-performance slitting tools that combine the convenience and security of Tang-Grip clamping with the added durability of the new Sumo Tec insert grades. The concept, already proven successful in Tang-Grip parting tools, has now been extended to slitting cutters.
Iscar Adds Their Most Recent Innovations To A Extensive Line Of Successful Hole Making Solutions
Iscar recently released several different drilling innovations to meet their customers needs. These new products are Sumocham Drill, DR-DH and Deep Drills. Drawing off of their experience Iscar has come up with new and innovative ways to increase productivity for the end user.
Completely New Tools And Carbide Insert Arrangements From Iscar To Better The Machining Procedure
Iscar is introducing Penta 34 carbide inserts with a new PB chipformer. The PB chipformer features a single cavity with a positive rake, neutral shoulder angle, and a honed edge. It is actually a C-type chipformer with a different frontal edge.
